about me

Hi! I’m so glad you’re here. I’m Luna, they/them. I also go by Loon. I spend my time supporting others through my work as a therapist, Somatic practitioner, Kohenet (hebrew priestess), artist, clown, and ritualist.

I deeply believe in the connection between emotional health and liberation for individuals, groups, and the collective. I use ritual, intuition, play, and my training as a social worker to support folks connect to their core self.

I have trained for almost a decade with my mentor, Ellen Weaver, a rabbinic pastor and IFS spiritual therapist, learning energetic healing, Internal Family Systems, bodywork, and Jewish spiritual chaplaincy.

I have also had the honor of spending time in Occupied Palestine supporting young adults doing solidarity work with Palestinians in the West Bank, where I have offered individual therapeutic support and pastoral care.

I am a licensed social worker in the state of Pennsylvania. I hold a Masters in Social Work from Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research. I have worked as a therapist with children and adults in community mental health, as an individual therapist, as a school therapist, and as a grief group facilitator in Philadelphia public schools. I have a certificate in Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy from the Embody Lab and hold additional trainings in Ecotherapy, Pochinko Clowning, Embodied Racial Justice, IFS, EMDR, and The Work that Reconnects, as well as being an ordained Kohenet, Hebrew Priestess. I have over a decade of experience working with children, both individually and in group facilitation. I also work as a consultant with The Grievery.

I am a white, fat, trans+ non-binary queer person. I currently live on the lands originally and still tended to by the Lenni Lenape people in so-called Philadelphia, where I was also raised. I love to make people laugh, lay on soft grass, dance with my friends, and swim in rivers and lakes.

some notes on my framework:

My work is grounded in the truth famously spoken by Fanny Lou Hamer, “No one is free until we are all free.” I am a white anti-zionist Jewish person fervently longing for a Free Palestine. I am committed to engaging in the lifelong work of being in right relationship with black and brown people as a white person on Turtle Island. I support movement workers of all kinds to connect to themselves and their power in order to continue fighting for liberation. I love to support folks who are wrestling with their conditioning and working to unlearn oppressive ways of thinking and acting, wherever you are on your journey.

I center in an anti-colonial understanding of healing. I will sit with you and help you untangle  from the stories we have all been taught that perpetuate fatphobia, ableism, zionism, and white supremacy.

I believe that no healing is complete without a commitment to healing our relationship with the earth, with the collective, and with our ancestors.  In our work together, we will use counseling, ritual, ecotherapy, altar building and other emergent methods to strengthen these connections.
